Meet the woman behind the computer

Welcome to my little corner of the internet!

Let me introduce myself, I’m Sarah Donaghue, owner of The Grove Designs Co. I’m based in sunny Florida, and you’ll see a lot of Floridian influence all over my branding, and my website. When I’m not at the beach, I can be usually be found hanging out with my dog, reading a fantasy book, coding something cool, or traveling!

I work as a full-time software engineer, and as a part-time website designer. I started The Grove Designs Co in order to allow my more creative side to flourish. And, in turn, help your business flourish.

Here are some fun facts about me:

  • I’ve spent 8+ years in the web design industry

  • I’m a Squarespace designer, but I’m also open to projects on Shopify, Showit, and Wordpress.

  • I’m a full-time software engineer, with tons of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, among other programming languages, which allows me to fully customize your website with ease!

  • I also do a lot of freelance app development, feel free to email me if that is something you’re interested in!

  • My favorite colors are blue and green.

My Credentials

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Engineering from The University of Edinburgh (Edinburgh, Scotland, UK)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from Longwood University (Farmville, Virginia)

  • Completed courses, self-study, and professional certifications and projects in various programming languages, frameworks, etc.
